National Parks Junior Ranger Project

I got a phone call inquiring about doing a series of illustrations for the National Parks Service Junior Ranger Passport Book program. Of course I was thrilled to be part of it. Broken up into regions, I was to illustrate not only popular park destinations, but historic people and events, wildlife and more. The project took up to 3 months to complete all illustrations, over 40 of them. I really learned a lot about this great country and what a gem we have with our National Parks. My style was required to change slightly to be more realistic and informative but still have my light hearted approach. The book was released April 21, 2018, National Junior Ranger Day!
